How to verify your O’Level result, obtain a Verification Code and upload your result without visiting a CBT centre
Candidates can now verify and upload their O’Level results from the comfort of their homes without having to make an unnecessary visit to a Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre, under a new arrangement introduced by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
The development was announced by JAMB’s Acting Director, Public Affairs and Protocol, Fabian Benjamin, in a statement shared on X on Monday.
According to the Board, candidates can upload their O’Level results from home while JAMB verifies the results directly with the examination bodies responsible for conducting the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE), beginning with the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).
JAMB said it had facilitated the verification of candidates’ O’Level results directly from the examination bodies responsible for conducting SSCE examinations, starting with WAEC.
The Board described the development as part of its effort to make its services easier, faster, safer and more convenient for candidates.
The arrangement uses technology to reduce unnecessary visits to CBT centres, queues and manual processes while allowing JAMB to verify submitted results against records held by the issuing examination bodies.
JAMB also said the system is intended to address problems associated with manual O’Level result uploads, including misplaced or mixed-up paper results, unverified or fraudulent results, and errors when entering subjects and grades.
Through the integration of JAMB’s e-Facility platform with examination bodies, results can be verified against records from the issuing examination bodies before the verified results are downloaded into candidates’ profiles.
Candidates first obtain a Verification Code after completing the result verification process. The code is then used to initiate the O’Level result upload.
After obtaining your Verification Code, follow the steps below to submit your verified O’Level result.

The procedure provided by JAMB starts at buyresultsverificationcode.ng, where candidates enter their NIN and proceed with the verification process.
The Verification Code obtained after successful verification is used to initiate the O’Level result upload. Candidates are instructed to send “VERIFY” followed by the code to 55019 or 66019.
Candidates must select a minimum of five subjects and a maximum of nine subjects, with no subject selected more than once, according to the procedure provided by JAMB.
Candidates with two sittings will be notified to visit their profile on JAMB e-Facility. They can then enter the Verification Code, view the verified results, select the required subjects and apply the O’Level results.
